Corinne Evens, President of SIIFFA Immobilier and founder of Goralska Joaillerie, conceived the concept of a hotel residence in Paris, leveraging her 35 years of professional experience and insights into economic trends.

The origin of the Goralska brand by Corinne Evens

The name "Goralska" derives from the Semitic word "goral," meaning "destiny," combined with the feminine Slavic suffix "ska," symbolizing "a woman's destiny."

As the daughter of a diamond merchant, Corinne Evens ventured into jewelry design around 2015, driven by nostalgia and a profound need to transform her thoughts and inquiries into tangible creations. Utilizing noble raw materials, she seeks to capture the beauty of forms and their expressions through her work.

Corinne Evens & the genesis of the project

The Siiffa Group owned the Boulevard Boudon building, but it took over six years to obtain the necessary permits for its renovation and elevation. During this period, regulations governing the use of spaces and buildings, as well as laws affecting property developers, underwent several changes.

Despite the significant efforts, cost overruns, and challenges such as a period of squat occupation, the decision was ultimately made to retain the building for the long term, minimizing risk as much as possible. By converting the building into a residence with apartments, it provides the flexibility to sell individual units if the hotel operation faces difficulties or if there is a significant market shift.

Who is Corinne Evens

Corinne Evens, a resident of Paris and ‘Douce France’, is an avid traveler and the daughter of Polish refugees who resettled in Belgium in the early 1950s. Her nomadic identity and a lifelong sense of not having a permanent home inspired her to create a welcoming environment for travelers visiting Paris, whether for tourism or business, alone or with family. Her vision is to offer guests a "home away from home" experience, where they are received with the warmth and comfort of a nomadic-inspired decor.

What's more, our modular apartments allow you to extend the space during your stay, so that you can accommodate an extension if your family joins the “professional”, or to organize a small event for an evening, for example, and welcome guests.

Goralska Bastille Hotel Paris

Each of the hotel's flexible suites/apartments is named after a gemstone, reflecting the jewelry industry, and all offer views over the Canal Saint Martin, near the Bastille. The decor, designed by Corinne Evens and Daniel Jibert, embodies the spirit of Cosy Homy Nomade, with colors harmonizing with the names of the precious stones after which the apartments are named.

Residence Goralska Royale in Brussels

A second residence, this time furnished, has been created in Brussels, with each apartment named after a country. The decor and themes, envisioned by Daniel Jibert and Corinne Evens, are always in the spirit of Cosy Homy Nomade.

3rd Residence Hotel Goralska Vendôme (in progress)

Finally, by the end of 2024, the third Goralska Vendôme Residence Hotel will be built near Place Vendôme. In keeping with the theme of women who have shaped their own destinies, each apartment will be named after an illustrious foreign woman who loved and stayed in Paris. A few examples include: Marie Curie, Sarah Bernhardt, Mata Hari, Marlene Dietrich, Josephine Baker, and Lou Andreas-Salomé.

The apartments' decor will be named after illustrious women who have stayed in and loved Paris, and the Gastronomic Tapas Bar will be overseen by Frida Kahlo, the renowned Mexican pioneer artist.

A unique design by Corinne Evens and Daniel Jibert

The decor of the apartments, including carefully selected fabrics and exceptional photographs, will be thoughtfully curated by designer Daniel Jibert in collaboration with Corinne Evens. The intimate ambiance of each space will be meticulously reimagined.

Additionally, a bespoke Goralska fragrance will be created by Déborah Flon and Charlotte Marion to enhance the overall experience.
